Mid diagnostics the client decided to switch on his battery pack shore charger causing this stinky little mess.

This was a different vessel but for this one i wrote an official notice stating his vessel was at risk of FIRE! This man wanted to convert a standard battery vessel into a Lithium battery vessel with two huge battery banks. The guy made a total mess, the quote for this project was nearly twenty grand. When the client tried to pay for the initial start of the project his payment failed several time so i had to officially deny services to him. This was the first time i had ever declined to provide services to a client.

Some water fried this bad boy, interestingly the water that killed it got into a light and caused a short. Had nothing to do with the Garmin in the cabin. Just an inadequately isolated (not even a fuse) power supply.

This is the light that killed all other electronic equipment on the boat! So wonderful.

The customer wanted me to just reuse this Deutsch connector, NO WAY!

This is the the new unit that replaced the old garmin once i successfully got an isolated circuit for it to live on. Notice there is actually a FUSE!
